"When Penny returns home to Appletons, she discovers the men's prize in the prestigious annual potato race is five times bigger than the women's. Penny sets out to change that, and unleashes a storm of protest she never saw coming.

Based of a true story, The Appleton Ladie's Potato Race was written by award-winning playwright Melanie Tait. This laugh-out-loud comedy features deadpan dialogue, a sackful of resilient country women and more than a few potatoes." - Deb Hunt.
